Party Poker Software

Party Poker like most major pokers is constantly updating its software, adding all the latest poker player tricks and tools, removing things that make the software to bulky, poker software seems to be ever-evolving, as does most software, and there's nothing different about Party's.

The software comes with all the gadgets poker players have become accustomed to, like the ability to take notes and tag players to save data for future encounters.

The software also gives players the ability to effectively select the best and most profitable table, something that land based card rooms lack in. Players can find out how many flops are viewed per hour, and how many showdowns. This gives players a good idea as to whether the game is loose, or if it's pretty tight. This way the player can adjust his game and either plan to buy at a tight table, or sit in wait at a loose table.

Those tools are all pretty common, and have been available at Party Poker for quite some time.  There are some updates as well, such as Single Click Options for Multi-tablers. For players sitting at 10 to 20 tables at any given time, Party Poker now features options like, sit out at ALL tables, instead of having the player sit out at each table individually.

Anonymous Heads-Up

This is sort of a fun option and especially good for players that for some reason or other may want to hide their stats, or identities. If you are familiar with the story of ilsidur1 you'll see where this could be advantageous. Ilsildur1 came onto the poker scene winning millions from pros such as Phil Ivey among others. He kicked serious Full Tilt Poker Pro ass. They didn't know who he was, and therefore they had no data to use, they had to use their skills within the current hand.

After they learned who he was, 4 players (one already having a record of unfair play) colluded together and shared information about his playing style to beat him, and take pretty much everything he had.

When you play anonymously your opponent has no prior knowledge of your game. There are no statistics available online to give him an idea of how you play, and he can't Google your name and check out your Facebook during the game.

Fold and Show

Party Poker also added the Fold/Show option which allows players to much their hands, after showing their cards when they fold. The player has to be the last player with action to use this feature. 

Fast-forward Poker – A Spin on Rush Poker

If you've never played Full Tilt's Rush Poker, you're in for the game of your life, even if you don't become a Fast Forward poker fan. If you have played Rush Poker at Full Tilt, this new version of the game will cure your withdrawal symptoms.

Here's how it works:

Players sit down to a table, and are dealt a hand. Just like in any game of holdem, the player can choose to bet, check, fold, etc. If the player choose to fold, things get a little crazy. The shadow of that player stays there and waits for the players turn to act, it looks like the players there, but he's long gone. The player is whisked away to a new table, with a bunch of other players that have finished hands, and immediately dealt a new hand. You can literally see dozens of hands in a minute rushing around on fast forward! 

Party Poker Mobile Poker App

Party Poker doesn't currently have a mobile app; however, given their recent acquisition of OnGame, and Bwin, who does feature a mobile app, there could be something for Android players coming in the very near future
